A Tacoma couple is remembering their son after he was shot and killed on Valentine’s Day. Tacoma police are searching for at least one suspect after a reported shooting on South G Street in Tacoma Friday at about 1 a.m.The victim was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries. “He only stepped out a few hours and it cost him his life,” said Chanel Jackson, mother.

A Kitsap County sheriff’s deputy and a private citizen saved a dog from the icy water of a lake after it fell through thin ice. The rescue was caught on the deputy’s body cam. The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office posted the video on X. The video recorded the dog’s yelps as it swam in distress in the chilly waters of Wildcat Lake on Friday. A neighbor had tried to row out to the helpless animal in a small boat already, but couldn’t get through the ice.

A driver in Monroe escapes with just seconds to spare when a freight train slams into their car. “It happened really fast. Really, really fast,” said witness Sean Allen. Allen caught the crash on camera while he was heading home from work on Thursday. In the video, a woman’s front tire is seen stuck on the tracks. Allen says another driver was helping her try to push it back. “I walked over and he was trying to get her out of the car,” he explained.
