WOBURN, MASS. (WHDH) - Video obtained by 7News shows the moment a masked man ran into a Woburn courthouse and pepper-sprayed a court officer Monday. Nicholas Akerberg, 28, of Yarmouth Port, deployed pepper spray in the lobby of Woburn District Court before he was tackled to the ground by law enforcement, police said. The building was evacuated following the attack. Court security cameras recorded a man, later identified as Akerberg, entering the courthouse and using the spray.

NEW YORK (AP) — A helicopter crashed Thursday into the Hudson River just off Manhattan, authorities said. There were no immediate reports on injuries or fatalities. The fire department said it received a report of a helicopter in the water at 3:17 p.m.Videos posted on social media showed the aircraft mostly submerged, upside down in the water. The fire department said it had units on scene performing rescue operations. Multiple rescue boats were seen on video circling the aircraft.

NEW YORK (AP) — A helicopter broke apart in midair and crashed upside-down into the Hudson River between Manhattan and the New Jersey waterfront Thursday, killing six people in the latest high-profile aviation disaster in the U.S., according to witnesses and a law enforcement official. The New York Fire Department said it received a report of the crash at 3:17 p.m. All six people aboard were killed, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

Mayor Eric Adams said the flight began at a downtown heliport around 3 p.m. and the dead — including three children — had been recovered and removed from the water.
