    ELLSWORTH — Seventh-graders at Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School (EEMS) did not attend class with other grade levels on Wednesday, Dec. 20, due to damage sustained from high winds and rain earlier in the week. The Ellsworth School Department closed schools on Tuesday, Dec. 19, to assess damage to the properties, namely damage to the roof of EEMS.

    ELLSWORTH — After just over six years of operating on Main Street, Sugar Mags, Ellsworth’s own mom-and-pop candy shop, will close its doors permanently on Dec. 22. “Our family is devastated,” owner Sarah Bowden said.
