    MOUNT DESERT — Voters will have final approval of the proposed LD 1438 — An Act to Require the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to Allow Hunting on Mount Desert Island, explained Town Manager Durlin Lunt to the Selectboard’s on Tuesday. Lunt gave an update to the board on the status of the proposed bill, which was presented by House Minority Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham (R-Winter Harbor) to the Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife on April 3.

    BOSTON — Monday's Boston Marathon produced a beautiful day on all fronts for almost all who entered and finished the race, and it was a day full of breathtaking performances. Newett said in an email Tuesday morning he accomplished his goal of finishing. "I got my ticket punched for next year, received a nice medal and now have some nice memories with those whose paths I crossed on the run," he said.
