OXFORD, Miss. -- For the first time in school history, Murray State baseball won a Regional Championship, beating #10 Ole Miss 12-11 at Swayze Field in a winner-take-all matchup Monday night. The Racers (42-14) jumped ahead 12-3 after 6 and a half innings on the heels of 19 hits as a team. But the host Rebels (43-21) wouldn't go away, scoring five runs in the 7th and three runs in the 8th to make it a one-run game.

OXFORD, Miss. -- Much like the last time the two teams met, Murray State held an early lead over Ole Miss, but this time an 8-run third inning followed by a 5-run fourth helped the Rebels get revenge on the Racers, winning 19-8 on Sunday to force a Monday rematch for the NCAA Oxford Regional Championship at Swayze Field. The Racers (41-14) struck first in the opening inning after a 2-out RBI single by Luke Mistone.

OXFORD, Miss. -- For the second straight night, Murray State let a lead slip in the middle innings. And for the second straight night, the Racers would counter, beating Georgia Tech 13-11 to advance to the Oxford Regional Championship at Swayze Field Saturday night, becoming the 10th #4 seed to advance to an NCAA Region Championship game in its current format.
