MURRAY, Ky. — A new chief executive officer has been selected to lead Murray Calloway County Hospital starting in 2025. The hospital's board of trustees unanimously selected Tonda Haigler Tuesday morning. The selection and announcement came following a four month search that involved 150 candidates. Haigler is expected to take the reins as CEO when current CEO Jerry Penner retires at the end of March. Contingent upon her acceptance, Haigler will only be MCCH's sixth CEO in more than 50 years.

The night of music and entertainment from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on WPSD-TV raises money for local centers providing care for adults and children with special needs and disabilities. Donations benefit the following centers: Easterseals West Kentucky in Paducah, UTM Infant Stimulation in northwest Tennessee, and CTS Creative in southern Illinois.

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY — The 38th annual Marshall County Elks Lodge Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 14, brought out many smiling faces in the community, all for a good cause. The tournament raises money for the Marshall County Exceptional Center, a non-profit agency for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
