Curious travelers seeking to understand different cultures—near and abroad—can cure their curiosity by visiting historic landmarks and museums. The same can be done when expanding one's knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community and its history—and not just during Pride month in June. These places are open to the public year-round and collect, preserve, and share untold LGBTQ+ stories and contributions to the local and larger mainstream community.

Hola desde Uruguay! For the first time in a long time, I haven’t been on a plane in over a month. But in about two weeks I’m headed back to Europe for two epic press trips and some personal travels. After this rendezvous in Europe I’ll have visited 98 countries. Where should I go for my 99th and 100th? More on my travels below. Thank you for subscribing to my monthly newsletter highlighting my recently published articles, upcoming calls for sources, and a peek into my travels.

Credit: Travel + Leisure When you've traveled to over 100 countries, you learn to be an expert packer. Cherene Saradar is a travel nurse anaesthetist who spends half the year traveling for contract work at hospitals around the U.S. and the other half globe-trotting for pleasure, having visited all seven continents and 116 countries to date. Her medical background dictates her packing style, as she prioritizes items that focus on comfort and health.

Located on Calistoga’s main drag, Lincoln Ave, it’s easily identifiable by its original neon sign and mint-hued vintage 1952 Buick. As the name implies, Dr. Wilkinson’s is more than a resort — it’s a mineral hot spring oasis.

I’m waiting to have a minor procedure (which is required for fertility treatment in Uruguay) at a medical office called Sterility Center it goes to show that around the world places that offer reproductive care cater to those TTC and those who want to be sterile.

In the midst of processing the shock of my devastating pregnancy loss in January, I knew all too well how much danger I could have been in if I had been in the U.S. I wrote about why in my latest for @RewireNewsGroup: https://t.co/4fBfnlPHZm
