After a short pursuit in a Northwest Jacksonville neighborhood, home surveillance video shows a driver pulling into a driveway near Trout River Boulevard and Ribault Avenue, at around 9 a.m. on March 12. JSO Officer’s A.C. Gaulding’s bodycam video shows him pulling up behind the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Brandon White.

TAMPA, FLA. (WSVN) - Officials say a woman in Tampa barely escaped a fire emergency with her life thanks to a good Samaritan’s efforts. Deborah Paxton said she was driving her boyfriend to work near Saint Petersburg on Wednesday, unaware her the back of her truck was up in flames. Then, a biker started waving and screaming at her, trying to get her attention. “‘Your car is on fire!’ And kept pointing up,” Deborah said.

EUSTIS, Fla. (WSVN) — A Florida teacher has been relocated pending investigation following accusations of her choking a middle school student. 12-year-old Ky’lin Williams says he got into trouble one afternoon at school after he and a couple of friends were tossing ketchup packets around the cafeteria. A school employee, noticing them, walked over, saying Ky’lin was going to be written up. “I was, like, shocked because I didn’t do anything,” he said.

(WSVN) - Deputies in North Florida rescued a boater who fell overboard with the help of a good Samaritan. The quick thinking hero was only minutes away when he received a call from a fisherman, telling him that his friend was fighting for his life. He had fallen during a fishing trip in Saint Mary Lake last Thursday, near the Florida-Georgia border. “There’s a gentleman in the water right off Fort Clinch,” said the caller. “One guy can’t get him back up on the boat. (WSVN) - A Florida man’s attempt at a high-stakes jewelry heist took an unexpected turn when, police say, he swallowed the evidence to his crime. 32-year-old Jaythan Gilder was seen on video last month checking out the Tiffany & Co. jewels at the Mall of Millenia in Orlando before he snatched two pairs of earrings and took off, injuring an employee attempting to stop him in the process.
