This morning, amid Teams messages aligning on sample definitions, of course there was conversation about the finale of Traitors. If you didn’t watch, what stopped you? It’s fun, gripping and delightfully camp at points. I’m an unashamed mega fan of the series; it’s the only reality TV I’ve ever been motivated to follow, and I’ve gone all-in.

Mary Goodyear was one of the leading practitioners of qualitative market research from the early days in 1965 when she and her husband, John, set up Market Behaviour Ltd (MBL) until it was ultimately sold as part of a much larger group in 1997 with offices in the Middle East, India and southeast Asia and a long list of blue-chip clients. For Mary, the success of MBL was proof that well conducted market research could make a huge contribution to marketing and so to business as a whole.

The acquisition will strengthen Elixirr’s research offering to clients and will complement the firm’s work in strategy, digital, data, innovation and artificial intelligence. Hypothesis, which was founded in 2000, will also help Elixirr expand its presence in the US. Maria Vallis, chief executive at Hypothesis, will join Elixirr as a partner based in Los Angeles. Vallis’ team will also join the company.

I’m that annoying person who’s forever recommending things without being asked. Well, I’m annoying in a range of respects – this is just one of them. Specifically, I find myself suggesting podcasts unbidden quite a lot at the moment. So, here we go again. Do you listen to The Imperfects? For those of us in the Western hemisphere, the Australian podcast doesn’t necessarily always have recognisable guests, but the topics in focus on each episode often provide more of a ‘way in’.

I just put a message in the wrong Teams chat. Nothing sensitive or problematic – only a tad awkward to explain. How easy is this to do though? Where’s the artificial intelligence (AI) bot that nudges you to say ‘do you really want to be talking about this topic in this thread, you slapdash character?’. I can sometimes blame tiredness (who knew 11-year-olds could disrupt your sleep?).
