For the past few years, Champlain Township has waived the requirement for a garage sale permit for the entire township, as well as within the limits of Vankleek Hill.

Shakuhachi Master Debbie Danbrook and local harpist ian hepburn performed at Arbor Gallery on November 30 as part of a concert called ‘Footsteps in the Snow.’ The sold-out concert offered meditative music, where the unrehearsed original music of each musician blended seamlessly. Danbrook explained her evolution as a musician and her feeling of finding what she was meant to do when she heard the first notes of a shakuhachi flute at a concert one day.

Heritage crafts and makers were out in full force at the 12th edition of the Historical Crafters Market Fair & Marketplace at the Dunvegan Recreation Association Hall in Dunvegan on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1. The two-day event included weaver Barbara Whelan, with overshot weaving, tea towels and woollen yarns.
