MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Jesus Piedad Fernandez as the new chief of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) revealed on Thursday. In a statement, the DILG said Fernandez was designated to the post last April 11 and will lead the modernization efforts of the BFP.
