A 20-year-old man has died after a Land Rover "lost control" in a car park, police say. The dark green Land Rover Discovery crashed in Winnersh Triangle park and ride at 10pm last night (Thursday, April 16). Thames Valley Police confirmed the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been notified and are being supported by specially trained officers. Another 20-year-old man, from Barnet, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Liverpool Street station will be part-shut on May Bank Holiday weekend while work continues to restore its roof panels. Network Rail has confirmed some trains will take off and terminate at nearby Fenchurch Street station on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5. c2c confirmed this will impact journeys to and from Essex on both days. On the Basildon line trains will be diverted to Fenchurch Street and will call at West Ham rather than Stratford.

A Grays man was wanted on recall to prison when he attacked his brother and a police officer in a violent spree. On the evening on February 28 police were called to the Essex town after Rocky Price, 31, assaulted his brother. Price ran off from the scene, but was spotted by a police officer who was on patrol in area. A chase ensued as the lone officer quickly caught up with the suspect. Price immediately began to struggle, managing to take the officer’s Taser from its holster.

A dog has suffered major injuries after being mauled by an Alsatian in a North London park. A viral social media video appears to show the Alsatian biting into a smaller white dog and even lifting it off the ground. Fellow dog walkers in Roe Green Park, Kingsbury battled for 30 seconds to stop the Alsatian, which was off a lead, before it was eventually taken away by the owner. One person intervened to try and halt the attack.
