RJ Austin entered the 2025 season as the featured player on a Vanderbilt Baseball team expected to compete for a trip to Omaha. While high expectations were nothing new for the junior, the reality of this season — in all likelihood — being his final year on West End certainly raised the stakes.

The Commodores were unable to find any success at the plate or on the mound as they suffered their first home defeat of the season. 1 hour ago No. 14 Vanderbilt was unable to continue its five game winning streak on Friday night, falling to the No. 2 Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 9-0. It was a slow day at the plate for the Commodores. The lineup failed to bring a run across the plate and mustered just three hits.

What an incredible year for Vanderbilt sports. Clark Lea leads the football team to its first bowl game in years, Byington and Clark dominate on the basketball court, and now Corbs and the VandyBoys win the SEC title! Been an absolute pleasure to have a front row seat to watch
