With around 3/4 of seats counted @N_landCouncil is heading for No Overall Control, with Reform (20 seats) + Con's (19) vying to be biggest pty. Tories will probably overtake Ref but even with help of Independents will struggle to build a coalition. Lab on 8 - dramatic drop.

Remarkable start for Reform UK @N_landCouncil election - by my calculations they have now won 16 out of first 23 wards declared, mostly at Labour's expense but Tories also losing some. Still 2/3 of seats yet to declare including wealthier + more rural areas, so a long way to go.

Flask of tea + bananas at the ready, landed @bbcelection @N_landCouncil election . It's England's 2nd biggest LA by area, 69 wards, so expecting a long count - 730 am predicted for final result! (Potentially knife-edge contests Lab/Con/Ref etc cld make it even longer) https://t.co/TchQJx5aqr
