A worker was critically injured after falling from a barge docked at a warehouse along Salmon Bay on Saturday, according to the Seattle Fire Department, which used ropes to rescue the man. The man fell about 15 feet from the barge to a walkway level with the shoreline around noon, according to the Fire Department. SFD did not specify which warehouse, but the incident was reported in the 400 block of Northwest Bowdoin Place in the Fremont area.

A 44-year-old man was shot in the shoulder Saturday morning in the Cherry Hill neighborhood, according to Seattle police, who continued to search for the shooter hours later. Witnesses described an “altercation” between the 44-year-old man and a group of people shortly before a person opened fire around 3:50 a.m. on East Madison Street near 23rd Avenue, according to the Police Department. The shooter fled on foot and had not been found, police said.
