The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) euthanized 101 animals in the first quarter of 2025, a 42% drop from the 175 recorded in the same period last year. Despite the overall improvement, dog adoptions have hit a two-year low, IAM data shows. From January to March, 69 dogs and 32 cats were euthanized. During the same period, 131 animals were adopted or reclaimed 102 cats and only 29 dogs. The number of dogs adopted was the lowest quarterly figure recorded in the last two years.

According to the CCAC, the Macau firm allegedly conspired with four auditors and consultants from a Hong Kong accounting enterprise to falsify financial statements submitted to the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX).
