The shooting happened before 4 a.m. on the 200 block of West Somerset Street in Kensington, according to PPD. The victim, a man in his early 30s, was struck in the abdomen, right leg, and left arm, police wrote. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 4:20 a.m., authorities said. His name was not reported as of late Friday morning. No arrests have been made and no weapons recovered, PPD added.

One suspect broke a fence lock and forced his way into the backyard of a home near Pine and Byberry roads on July 5, according to investigators. The second suspect, who was wearing a surgical mask and a hat, knocked on the front door of the home. The trio tried to get inside through a sliding glass door at the rear of the house but fled when they saw someone inside, police added. They reportedly left the area in a gray minivan.

Shane P. Cassidy, 24, is accused of stalking a Unity Township woman and sending her threatening text messages, said the Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office. The victim told authorities she received the messages from multiple phone numbers over a period of months, officials said. Some of the messages allegedly contained "photoshopped and superimposed images" of the victim, according to prosecutors.

Janelle Loveless, 33, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to borough police. The infant was spotted in an unattended car at 245 W. Broad St. on July 5, authorities said. The windows were slightly cracked and the car was not running, officials wrote. Bystanders removed the baby from the vehicle and contacted police, who found Loveless nearby, authorities said. The infant was taken to St. Luke's Hospital-Bethlehem Campus for treatment and was later released.
