    POCATELLO — A group of religious artists throughout Southeast Idaho have gathered together to showcase their art in a local furniture store in honor of the Easter season. Ann Loveland, organizer of the art show, said the show is located in Ashley Furniture Store on 1950 Hurley Drive. It is going on right now and will continue until Saturday, April 19. “It’s mostly from local artists in Southeast Idaho,” Loveland said.

    An online fundraiser has been started for the family of a local man who died in a motorcycle crash earlier this week. Bradley C. Orr, 29, of Chubbuck, was driving his motorcycle with his 14-year-old nephew as passenger on Highway 26 Monday night when they collided with an SUV, authorities said. Orr died at the scene and his nephew was rushed via ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

    POCATELLO — The groundbreaking for the new field house that will be built next to the Mountain View Event Center will take place this week, ushering in a new era for indoor sports in the Gate City. Raul Cano, executive director of the Mountain View Event Center, said the groundbreaking will take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the site of the Field House next to the MEC at 1567 Way to Grace Avenue. "We're really excited," Cano said.

    MONTPELIER — A local store that specializes in long-term food storage and emergency supplies is making some changes to help them better serve their customers. Rainy Day Foods, located at 24377 U.S. Highway 89 in Montpelier, also hopes to change the way people look at food storage because it's not all about preparing for disasters. Karen Muir, manager of the store, said it has been in business for about 30 years. It originated as a division of Walton Feed.
