The 2024 election is over and the country looks to a second term with Donald Trump as president. Voters made their choice in electing Trump. But a vote for Trump is not necessarily a vote against democracy. Though Trump has cited anti-democratic ideals as part of his agenda, his election does not mean voters support him attempting to dismantle democracy.

This purge targeted over 3,200 voters — and even the state of Alabama admitted that more than 2,000 voters should have never been targeted by the program to begin with.

This misguided and eleventh-hour ruling permits Virginia to disenfranchise over 1,600 eligible Virginia voters based on unreliable data and discriminatory lies unfairly targeting naturalized and qualified U.S. citizens.

In a win for voters, the Nevada Supreme Court upheld the state’s policy of counting mail-in ballots without postmarks received up to three days after Election Day this November. The Trump campaign and Republicans filed a lawsuit against Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar (D) and local election officials in May challenging Nevada’s policy of counting mail-in ballots missing a postmark that are received up to three days after Election Day.

A federal court swiftly tossed out a lawsuit from the Republican National Committee (RNC), Nevada Republican Party and the Trump Campaign alleging that Nevada’s post-election ballot receipt deadline violates federal law and unconstitutionally dilutes Republican votes. In today’s ruling granting requests from state officials and nonprofit organizations to dismiss the case, Judge Miranda Mai Du held that the GOP plaintiffs lacked standing.
