Mac’s Old House, an old-school Italian restaurant in Antioch, is closing after 42 years, the restaurant announced this month on social media. After nine years, Ritual Coffee Roasters is closing its Haight-Ashbury cafe, leaving the neighborhood without an anchor business that drew locals and tourists alike. The cafe’s last day will be April 11, the team announced on Instagram. “It wasn’t any one thing. It was a combination of things that added up to us feeling like it was time to close,” Ritual founder Eileen Rinaldi told SFGATE.
