    TRENTON — New Jerseyans soon might have an incentive to forget about their reusable shopping totes, as some lawmakers are pushing for a return to paper bags in grocery stores. The state in 2022 banned paper and single-use plastic bags at large retailers in a step to combat climate change and deal with environmental waste. The law was applauded by environmental groups. Shoppers dutifully turned to reusable bags, typically fabric or sturdy woven plastic, and often inexpensive or free.

    Last Monday, Dec. 2,  students may have noticed a sudden change in the popular breakfast cafe, Dawn to Dusk while walking down Rowan Boulevard, as it transitioned to Spicy’s Bar. While the abrupt change in the name and hours may have shocked students, the decision was not impulsive. Owners Cindy and Nick Minhas bought the popular breakfast spot back in January, and have been working behind the scenes to obtain a liquor license and make the change.

    A federal judge in Texas has struck down President Joe Biden's immigration policy that would have allowed undocumented spouses and stepchildren of U.S. citizens to apply for permanent residency without leaving the country.
