UPDATE: Thomas Eugene Tolbert, the alleged suspect in the Lee’s Summit police shooting has been found and arrested in Ellis, Kansas. —LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — A Lee’s Summit police officer was shot multiple times Sunday night, and the man suspected of shooting the officer is yet to be found. The officer remains in “serious condition” as law enforcement officers work to find the suspect. A Blue Alert was issued for the suspect, Thomas Tolbert, a 27-year-old man.
