NORFOLK, VA (WTKR)- For the second straight season, the Norfolk Admirals are treating fans in Hampton Roads to some ECHL playoff hockey. The Admirals unveiled the dates of their first two Kelly Cup playoff games Monday. Norfolk will take its home ice at Scope on April 16 and April 17, with puck drop for both set for 7:05 PM, against a to-be-determined opponent in their opening postseason series.

NORFOLK, VA (WTKR)- Norfolk has always been a special place for Jermaine Woods. Now he's the head coach at the school in his backyard. At one point during his childhood, he lived right across the street from Norfolk State University and has plenty of memories shaded in green and gold. "I marched in the parades in the homecoming games with the Boys and Girls Club," he recalled.

NORFOLK, VA (WTKR)- You might not know by looking at him, but Norfolk Academy shot putter Chance Stuart started out his athletic career as a cross country runner in seventh grade. "I was about 5'3" and 100 lbs," he recalled. Then, as a sophomore in high school, he hit a growth spurt, gained some weight and discovered a new avenue when it came to his sport of choice. "I started playing football," Chance remembered.

CHESAPEAKE, VA (WTKR)- LaMareon James has spent the majority of his football career at home. After graduating from Indian River, he spent his first three college seasons at Old Dominion. Then he decided to give something else a try. James wrapped up his final season of college football at TCU in 2024 and now has his eye on April's NFL Draft. "Going against bigger names," James said of his lone season in the Big 12.
