Milwaukee-based Punch PR has been acquired by Trozzolo Communications Group, a full-service communications agency based in Kansas City, Missouri. Under the deal, which closed June 1, Punch will maintain its employee base and brand name, operating now as Punch, A Trozzolo Company. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Trozzolo's existing presence in the Milwaukee community.

James Beard Award-winning chef Adam Siegel with his wife, Daria Aitken-Siegel, will open a new restaurant on the ground floor of Northwestern Mutual’s North Building, which is currently undergoing a $500 million total makeover. The yet-to-be-named concept will serve New York-style Italian cuisine in a “relaxed, yet still refined” environment and is slated to open in late 2026, according to an announcement Monday. It will be located in a tenant space on East Mason Street.

Workers at Milwaukee-based Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. have unanimously voted to unionize under the Milwaukee Area Service & Hospitality Workers Organization. The final vote tally from the election, held Wednesday by the National Labor Relations Board, was 37 to 0, with an additional 7 voters subject to challenge, according to an announcement by MASH on Thursday.

Dairyland Old-Fashioned Frozen Custard & Hamburgers and its sister concept Mid-Way Bakery will close their location at 3rd Street Market Hall in downtown Milwaukee later this month as a new out-of-state vendor prepares to open in its place. The market hall announced Tuesday that Minneapolis-based Bebe Vito will open in mid-summer, serving burgers, chicken and homemade ice-cream.

Despite a loss of $15 million and a drop in sales, Kohl’s says its first quarter results were ahead of expectations and show signs of early turnaround efforts taking hold. The Menomonee Falls-based retailer on Thursday reported net sales of $3 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2025, down 4.1% from the same period last year. Comparable store sales were down 3.9% year-over-year.
