ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - KMOX News continues following developments in the parvovirus outbreak at St. Louis County Animal Care and Control. Doctor Douglas Pernikoff abruptly resigned Friday night. This follows the euthanization of at least 19 dogs following the parvo outbreak. There seemed to be a discrepancy in the time line as to when the first case of parvo was discovered at ACC. Doctor Kanika Cunningham the director of St. Louis County Public Health oversees Animal Care and Control.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There is a confirmed case of measles from an out-of-state resident who visited the St. Louis Aquarium between 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30th. Additionally, the individual ate at a restaurant in St. Louis on the same day, however, details of this visit have been extremely limited.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Saint Louis County Executive Doctor Sam Page and Director of County Public Health Doctor Kanika Cunningham held a joint press conference on the Parvo outbreak at the County's Animal Care and Control shelter. Page called it the worst parvo outbreak St. Louis County has ever had. On Wednesday, KMOX interviewed the non veterinarian Deputy Director of Public Health Doctor Landrus Burress who said the five dogs with Parvovirus was not considered an outbreak.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Louis Firefighter died Saturday night, following an accident at Martin Luther King and Whitier. Saint Louis Police report just after 11:30, the firefighter attempted to pass a car on Martin Luther King. That car then attempted to turn left onto Whitier, while the firefighter was passing. The unidentified driver, hit the firefighter's car, causing it to over-turn. That driver then ran and the firefighter died at the scene.

FLORISSANT (KMOX) - The St. Louis County Prosecutor has charged 51-year old Lamar Murray with two counts of Edangering the Welfare of a Child, which includes physical assault. Florissant Police say received a call for a school bus fight Friday at Highway 67 and Patterson Road. When police arrived, the school bus was gone , but the driver Murray was found at the garage. Two boys and their parents filed reports with Florissant Police. Murray is being on a 75-thousand dollar bond.
