(KRQE) – It’s already a challenging year for water in the Rio Grande, now there are new indicators of just how bad this year’s water supply conditions may be in the metro area. “I think given the forecast for water supply conditions, I think widespread river channel drying is likely this year,” said River Operations Manager for the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD) Anne Marken.

(KRQE) – A jury on Tuesday began deliberating the fate of former Albuquerque Police Department officer Kenneth Skeens, who is accused of illegally arresting a man at an Albuquerque Target in 2022. Police body camera footage and surveillance video played during the trial showed Skeens removing Matthew McManus from Target while he was at a self-checkout trying to purchase a bicycle.
