Longtime Saratoga Race Course mainstay Christophe Clement died last month of a rare eye cancer. The thoroughbred trainer, a Belmont Stakes winner himself, battled the disease quietly, but he lived his life so boldy, his spirit will live on at the race track, those who knew him said. "First and foremost, professional, classy and respectful," Hall-of-Fame jockey Ramon Dominguez said in describing Clement. The two worked together a great deal in their careers.
