MIAMI (WSVN) - A Miami bakery received a star-studded appearance, one that had fans waiting for hours outside the business. Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas appeared at Caracas Bakery in Miami’s “MiMo” district, Wednesday evening. The singer made the announcement on his social media page, Tuesday, for fans in the area to attend. “Miami! Hi. I’m not Mr. 305, but I feel like I’m Mr. 305’s cousin. I have something very exciting I’m doing tomorrow. Caracas Bakery, 5 p.m. onwards.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A woman was rushed to the hospital after a shooting at an apartment complex in Fort Lauderdale, police said. Fort Lauderdale Police units responded to the scene of the incident along the 3100 block of Port Royale Boulevard, Wednesday afternoon. Upon arrival, responding officers found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics rushed the patient to Broward Health Medical Center. While her condition is unclear, she underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Singer Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, were found guilty of fraud and theft charges by a jury in a Fort Lauderdale courtroom. The verdict came down Friday after five days of trial. As he walked out of court, the artist did not say anything to the cameras. His mother was immediately handcuffed and taken to the Miami Federal Detention Center where she will stay until their sentencing date.

(WSVN) — Residents in one Naples community had the scare of a lifetime when a fast-moving brush fire made its way into several backyards, putting them in danger, and an alert homeowner’s quick thinking may have made the difference. Resident Greg Milewicz said he grew up outside of Detroit and has seen plenty of car fires, but he knew the blaze that sparked Wednesday afternoon was different.

POMPANO BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - A community is in shock after Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered three family members dead inside a Pompano Beach home in what investigators described as a double murder-suicide, and detectives said an 80-year-old man was the gunman. BSO deputies responded to a residence along the 300 block of South Golf Boulevard to do a welfare check, at around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
