    It was Thursday yesterday, and I was greeted by four different people with the new slang for Thor’s Day: “Happy Friday eve!”That is all I heard throughout the day. Since when did Thursday become Friday eve? Have we become so eager to launch the weekend that we have mentally eliminated Thursday’s existence? Have we decided to live in our future rather than our present? Have we become accustomed to fast-forwarding our way through life? Thursday is its own, and it deserves respect.

    En los agitados tiempos de suspensión parcial de labores a la que se orilló al Poder Judicial de la Federación, no dejo de pensar en la caza de brujas que comenzó en la edad media y tuvo su auge en la edad moderna. Debo confesar que siempre he tenido cierta fascinación por el mundo de fantasía de brujas y magos, por lo que en algunas ocasiones he expresado —con un poco de vanidad— que de haber vivido en aquella época… hubiera sido quemada en la hoguera.
