TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Following a data breach exposing the social security numbers of millions, the credit bureau at fault will also spend millions to pay back those affected. Equifax, one of the three major credit reporting agencies, reached a $700 million settlement with the Federal Trade Commission after they exposed the information of around 147 million people. Over 1.1 million Kansans were among them. Some $425 million will go to directly help those affected by the breach.

(WCMH) — The body of a Marsyville woman last seen in September has been found Saturday by a hunter in Alabama. The sheriff’s office for Cleburne County said that the hunter reported the body around 11:30 a.m., sending deputies to an area five miles northeast of Cheaha State Park.

DELTA, Ala. (WCMH) — The body of a Marsyville woman last seen in September has been found Saturday by a hunter in Alabama. The sheriff’s office for Cleburne County said that the hunter reported the body around 11:30 a.m., sending deputies to an area five miles northeast of Cheaha State Park. The county coroner’s office then identified the remains as belonging to Vendula “Wendy” Rose. Last seen Sept. 24, the Marysville Police Division said Rose was over nine hours away in Alabama for a hiking trip.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired defenseman Daemon Hunt, as well as four other picks from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for David Jiricek. Hunt, a native of Brandon, Manitoba, was previously selected by the Minnesota Wild in the 2020 NHL Draft. The Blue Jackets’ other selections included future 2025 first-round, 2026 third-round and fourth-round, and 2027 second-round picks yet to be named.
