Delaware State Police have arrested a man from Indianapolis, Indiana, in connection to a homicide on April 8, 2025, in Seaford. 22-year old Andy Dorgilus was arrested on Wednesday, April 16th, and charged with killing 32-year old Rihem Frisby. Frisby was found shot on Clarence Street and died at a hospital.

A 22-year old man is under arrest after a brief foot chase on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Wilmington. Police said officers stopped a vehicle just after 11 a.m. in the 500 block of Lafayette Boulevard, but a passenger fled on foot. Jermaine Winckler was caught a short distance away. Police said they recovered three handguns: a .38 caliber, a loaded 9mm, and a loaded .40 caliber that was previously reported stolen.

Student organizer Emma Abrams said while they were there to support the students, she doesn't feel the University of Delaware has done their part.

State Representative Kevin Hensley (R - Townsend), will lose his driver's license for a year, pay a $500 fine, serve probation, and attend DUI instruction, as a result of his guilty plea for causing a crash on Route 1 in Milford last November. Hensley's vehicle collided with a car on November 9, 2024, causing the other car to roll over and injure the driver. According to the Delaware Department of Justice (DOJ), Hensley's blood alcohol level thru a blood draw was .16, twice the legal limit.

Delaware State Police have announced a second arrest in connection with a homicide in a Seaford park last month. Troopers arrested 22-year old Jamal Riddick on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, while executing a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of South Market Street in Blades. Riddick was charged with murder and 17 counts of reckless endangering in connection to the shooting death of 23-year old Schweitzer Dessin in Nutter Park on March 12th, that also injured two other young men.
