Since former Hoover High School star Marlon Humphrey joined Baltimore from Alabama in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Ravens have won more regular-season games than every team except the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City has played in five Super Bowls in that span. Baltimore hasn’t played in the Super Bowl since Humphrey came aboard. “I’m not going to say we’ve underperformed,” Humphrey said, “but we have underperformed. I feel that we’ve had championship-caliber rosters.

After earning all-league recognition in the United Football League’s 2025 season, former Auburn tight end Sal Cannella has signed with the Cleveland Browns, the NFL team announced on Thursday. Cannella had 44 receptions for 474 yards and one touchdown during the Arlington Renegades’ 10-game season. Cannella ranked second in receptions and sixth in receiving yards in the UFL for the 2025 campaign.

Five-time Pro Bowl linebacker C.J. Mosley announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday, which is the former Alabama All-American’s 33rd birthday. “Once upon a time, a kid from Mobile, Alabama, had a dream to do great things on the football field,” Mosley said in an Instagram post. “I followed you my whole life not knowing where you would take me. To envision myself as a Ray Lewis or a Brian Urlacher was just the first steps of this 11-year journey. You opened doors that I once only dreamed of.

The Oklahoma City Thunder can win the NBA championship for the 2024-25 season on Thursday. The Thunder takes on the Indiana Pacers at 7:30 p.m. CDT holding a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven title series.
