Despite intermittent sunshine, a stiff northerly breeze kept temperatures and scoring on the cool side, and Flanagan, representing Portmarnock Golf Club, maintained control in impressive fashion, mixing three birdies with three bogeys to fend off his nearest challengers by two strokes.
