RENNER and SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -SF East looked to improve an already impressive start to the summer with a win Tuesday night at Renner. Caden Sporrer had a bases-clearing triple to give East and early 4-0 lead. Brayen Olsen later hit a solo HR for what looked like a comfortable 7-2 lead. But Renner rallied in the 5th inning as Paxton Sohn had an RBI double and the lead shrunk to 7-6 before East hung on to win 8-6. As for Aberdeen Smitty’s, they have struggled.

ROCHESTER, MN. (Dakota News Now) -Sioux Falls City Football Club brought at 5-3-1 record on the road Tuesday night to Rochester, MN trying to rebound from a narrow loss to unbeaten Minnesota Aurora Friday night at Bob Young Field. The game was scoreless until the 60th minute when Nadja Meite buried a penalty kick for the lead. But the home team rallied to tie the game 15 minutes later.

ARNOLDS PARK, I.A. (Dakota News Now) - Hole #5 on our Dream 18 is hole #14 at Emerald Hills, it’s a par 3. Nick Christensen, the new owner of the course, joined the Dream 18. And you’ve got some exciting plans for the future. This course will look a little different in about a year from now. “Yes, about next June we’re going to have about four brand new holes out here, provide a whole new aspect to the golf course, and it will be a great challenge,” Christensen said.
