Potential Tropical Cyclone EightThe latest update from the National Hurricane Center has Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 located about 125 miles off the coast of Charleston, South Carolina with maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour. Tropical Storm Warnings are issued for coastal communities from North Carolina to Charleston, South Carolina.

WASHINGTON (7News) — After a pleasant start to the week and month of July, heat and humidity will increase significantly for the Fourth of July, lasting through the weekend. A Heat Advisory will take effect from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 4. This is because heat index values will be in the 100 to 105-degree range.
