The Fullerton City Council, on April 1 in a 4-1 vote, approved a policy banning all non-government content from being distributed at city buildings.

Herbie Fletcher has had a career as an innovator, a filmmaker, an artist and a boundary-pushing, big-wave charger who revolutionized tow-in surfing – and now his lifetime of achievements are on display in a new exhibit opening soon at the Surfing Heritage and Culture Center in San Clemente. The museum is hosting an opening event on Saturday, April 12, for “Fletcher: A Lifetime in Surf,” an exhibit exploring the life of the iconic San Clemente surfer that will remain on display through July.

Heritage Barbecue, fresh off a James Beard nomination, and Alicia Cox, founder of Prjkt Restaurant Group (Sahara SandBar and SeaLegs at the Beach), have teamed up for a beach-bound barbecue concept set to open this spring and last throughout the summer. Christened SeaSalt Smokehouse, the upcoming pop-up will be one part Heritage Barbecue and one part honky-tonk music venue held inside Cox's newly remodeled SeaSalt Honky Tonk at the Beach.
