School districts build possible student holidays into the academic calendar each year; if several school days get canceled due to bad weather, some of those missed days will be made up later in the year.     The Corinth Police Department on Thursday warned residents in a social media post about a new scam involving crash reports. “A citizen, who was recently involved in a crash, advised she was contacted by a crash report company who told her the other vehicle’s insurance company was assuming complete responsibility,” the department said in a statement.

    The faces on the Flower Mound Town Council won’t change as the lone challenger withdrew from the race, according to Flower Mound’s town secretary. In the May 3 General Election, Places 1 and 3 are expiring. Both incumbents — Adam Schiestel and Brian Taylor, respectively — filed for re-election, and only Taylor drew a challenger: Justin DeFillippo. On Tuesday, DeFillippo submitted his certificate of withdrawal from the race.

    The Denton County Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Unit on Monday arrested a school custodian on the felony charge of Online Solicitation of a Minor. During an undercover operation, 47-year-old Jason James Giuliani believed he was communicating with a 15-year-old female about sexual acts and electronically sending her explicit photographs, according to a DCSO news release.
