    With over 50 Mexican Restaurants and eateries within a small radius, why would we need a new one? We stopped in at Los Caminos at Lakeside in south Flower Mound to find out. And find out we did. This is not a Tex-Mex place, but merges traditional Mexican dishes and flavors with a modern twist. The restaurant is beautifully finished with large, comfortable booths, elegant décor and warm lighting.

    Three decades ago, a bomb exploded in downtown Oklahoma City in a devastating act of hatred, killing 168 people, including 19 children, and leaving hundreds more injured. It sadly stands as one of the deadliest acts of domestic terrorism in United States history. A DAY I WILL NEVER FORGETI remember this day well. My daughters were in kindergarten and second grade while my commercial airline pilot husband was flying to Europe.

    Buffalo is one place I never expected to visit. I only knew its beloved Buffalo Bills football team and Buffalo Wings. But then I learned something new as I read Texas Monthly magazine. It had named the city’s Southern Junction restaurant among “The Best Places in the USA to Get Texas BBQ (Outside of Texas).” Hmmm. As it happened, we’d been planning a trip to Niagara Falls, and to get there, we’d fly into Buffalo.
