    CMHA's Mental Health Week wraps up today, which saw more than 5,300 door hangers distributed with their annual awareness initiative, encouraging our community to hang them where they are visible to create connections to mental health, community, and resources for support.     The 31st annual McHappy Day was held yesterday, a one-day fundraiser organized by McDonald's Canada and its independent franchisees, directing a portion of proceeds from all food and beverage menu items to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and other local children’s charities. The community of Weyburn and area helped to raise $6,490 in just one day! Farrokh Javanmardi, Manager of Weyburn's McDonalds Restaurant, said this was an outstanding success.

    CMHA Weyburn staff and board members took part in the Mental Health Expo hosted by Legacy Park Elementary School on Thursday evening. "The event was a collaborative effort," explained CMHA Weyburn's program director Tasha Collins. "Heidi Vogel from the CMHA Weyburn Youth Program, and Lindsey Wagner, the Student Services Counselor from Legacy Park Elementary School discussed partnering during mental health week.

    The Airbourne Gymnastics team delivered great performances at a Moose Jaw Competition held on April 25th. In a press release, the club said Weyburn should be proud of the showcase of talent and dedication at the event, which had athletes from various age groups and levels competing. One athlete, in particular, stood out with the performance of her exceptional skills. Mackenzie Pulfer, a 16-year-old gymnast, placed First overall in her age category competing as an Xcel Platinum athlete.
