More cloudy and rainy weather is expected in much of Saskatchewan early this week. Environment Canada said rain is expected on Tuesday, Tuesday night and Wednesday in Regina. Smiles and cheers filled Regina International Airport on Friday as passengers boarded the first inaugural flight to Denver. The flight between the two cities has officially returned after a nearly decade-long hiatus. At the gate on Friday morning, balloons, cake, and officials with tourism, the city, province, economic development, and United Airlines greeted the first passengers.

The May Long Weekend is shaping up to be a bit cooler than normal, but fairly sunny across most of Saskatchewan. A rainfall warning in the southeast corner of the province is expected to be lifted on Friday. As of early Friday morning, Estevan and Moose Mountain got hit the hardest on Thursday, with about 50 millimetres of rain falling. In Regina, about 16 millimetres of rain fell, which was less than expected.
