A motorcyclist in his 60s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash. The victim, from Fareham, was riding a black motorbike when he collided with a red Honda Jazz in Portchester. Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage. The crash happened yesterday at 12.40pm on West Street, at the junction with Westlands Grove. A police spokesperson said: "Were you in the area at the time of the collision?

The roadworks on Cumberland Place (Image: Newsquest) Ongoing roadworks on a key city centre route coupled with tonight's Saints game at St Mary's could lead to delays across the city, the council has warned. Fans travelling to and from the stadium tonight should expect roads to be busier than usual due to the ring road between Charlotte Place and the Civic Centre being closed clockwise. It comes after a major project to redesign the layout of the road got underway yesterday.

Manoj Kumar, 26, told the fictional girl she was ‘cute’, ‘sweet’ and ‘gorgeous’ before using more graphic terms and trying to incite her into sexual activity.

The Itchen Bridge 'off-peak' charge for cars and small vans will be scrapped from February 10 (Image: Southampton City Council) Crossing the Itchen Bridge is about to get more expensive for motorists due to yet another toll increase coming into force at the weekend. The 80p 'off-peak' charge will be officially scrapped from Saturday, February 10 meaning drivers of cars and small vans will pay £1 per crossing all day round.
