Botely Road in Hedge End is set to be hit with temporary traffic lights while crews work undertakes ‘utility asset works’ on the busy road. The Echo has been out on track with Network Rail, looking behind the scenes at the 14 miles stretch of line that has been affected by the works. Over nine days, April 12 to April 20, Network Rail engineers have been working round the clock to stabilise 300 meters of railway cutting at Abbey Road near Swanwick.
