Not only is it the first day of camp it’s also Georgia Southwestern’s new women’s head basketball coach Missy Tiber’s first day of camp as a hurricane.

SYLVESTER, GA – Worth County soccer hosted its final day of its youth soccer camp early Wednesday morning where the main focus was developing fundamental skills for these kids. “We worked on touches, dribbling, passing, shooting, and then we did some actual games,” Lady Rams head soccer coach Ashlee Odom said. Her primary focus for the campers was to go back to the basics and I’m not talking about soccerfundamentals.

COLLEGE PARK, GA – The Atlanta Dream went into Tuesday night’s game with high hopes after defeating the Washington Mystic back in May for the first time this season. Unfortunately for the Dream, that wasn’t the case on Tuesday night. On a positive note in front of the dream, it was the sixth consecutive sold out crowd this season, and Rhyne Howard became the youngest player in the NBA history to reach 200 career three point passing, Diana Taurasi by just a three day difference.

AMERICUS, GA – Georgia Southwestern baseball threw out the first pitch of their annual teams camps Thursday morning. “A lot of high school teams from this state play with their actual high school during the few weeks of June,” GSW head baseball coach Josh McDonald said. “I have a lot of respect for programs that do that and for the players that take the time during that to play with their high school team.”McDonald also said these camps benefit his program just as much as they do.

MOULTRIE, GA – After an incredible inaugural season, Colquitt County flag football hosted day one of their first ever youth flag football camp Thursday morning. “We tailored it just for the girls who were between fifth and eighth grade,” Lady Packers head flag football coach Kirk Woodall said.
