Firefighters are battling a fire at an industrial park in Kent. Eight fire engines are at the scene in Styles Close in Sittingbourne. Residents are being advised to keep their windows and doors shut due to the heavy smoke issuing from an industrial unit.

A body has been found in the search for a missing woman. Officers were called to Town Pier in Gravesend around midday yesterday (April 24), where the body of a woman was discovered. Kent Police had earlier issued appeals to the public in a bid to find Carolyn Groom who was reported missing from the Northfleet area on April 7. A Kent Police spokesperson said formal identification is yet to take place but the family of the missing 76-year-old, who was from the area, have been informed.
