This spectacular park in mid Kent is a hit with everyone, whatever they want to do. The reason its appeal is so broad, to all ages, is because at 450 acres of woodland, grassland, rivers and a 30-acre lake, there's the space for any kind of visit. If you want a quiet corner to spread out a blanket to enjoy a book and a picnic, or a "huge" playground to wear out a gang of high-energy kids, Mote Park in Maidstone is for you.

Take Temple Ewell for example - there’s a good chance you may never have heard of this village, and that’s largely down to it being overshadowed by nearby Dover.

An empty takeaway will be turned into a “luxury” seven-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO) if new plans are approved. Proposals have been submitted to Folkestone and Hythe District Council (FHDC) to transform the former Shupria Indian and flat above in Dover Road. The takeaway’s Facebook page states it was established in 1987, but it is now permanently closed.
