SPOTLIGHTCherokee storyteller Greg Bilby will give a presentation at George Washington Carver National Monument in observance of Native American Heritage Day at 1 p.m. Saturday in the visitor center. It is a free program. Bilby received his degree in journalism from Oklahoma State University and serves as public health educator and outreach coordinator for the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He will share stories of Cherokee history, heritage and traditions.

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) -Breast cancer awareness continues this month in the form of a fashion show. Enchantments Boutique hosted its 18th fashion show at the Jonesboro Country Club Tuesday, October 8. The proceeds of the event go to the breast cancer support group of Northeast Arkansas. Event planner Lisa Davis shared what the support group does. “Whatever a newly diagnosed person needs, they try to take care of,” said Davis.

RISON – International artist Charles Esten will headline this year's Rison in the Fall festival on Saturday, October 12, announced festival director Douglas Boultinghouse. Esten is a Guinness World Record musician and acclaimed actor known for his roles as Ward Cameron on Netflix's Outer Banks and Deacon Claybourne on ABC/CMT's Nashville. The star will perform songs from the series, as well as music from her first full-length album, “Love Ain't Pretty,” released this year.
