For Paducah Flower Company owner/designer Jennifer Rukavina-Bidwell, Mother's Day preparations begin long before the holiday itself, as she has to order and stock up on flowers and supplies. Rukavina-Bidwell said that delivery is often a popular option around Mother's Day.

PADUCAH — The Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau on Tuesday dedicated a bench in honor of its late, longtime executive director Mary Hammond. Hammond held the position at the bureau for 23 years. She died in March 2024, shortly after she announced plans to retire. Dedicating the bench at the bureau at 128 Broadway, current Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Alyssa Phares said this week was the perfect time to honor Hammond's legacy.
