MAYFIELD — Foster parents are needed statewide, and a west Kentucky organization said it receives 20 to 30 referrals for placement daily. The organization said there aren’t enough homes for kids in the system. Dana Looper is a foster parent who is currently caring for two children. Looper said she and her husband chose to open up their home to foster children because they believe every kid or teenager deserves a safe place to live in as they grow up.
