The Osceola Police Department continues to grow, with Officer-In-Training Dalton Dodge joining the force. Dodge was sworn in March 31 and will be attending the full-time police academy in June at Northwood Technical College before joining the Osceola Police Department later this year. Like many who find their way into law enforcement, Dodge had thoughts of becoming a police officer early on in life. Watching his brother join the military, he had thoughts of doing the same.

But this month is a month of awareness that also means something to me; one that I’ve dealt with much longer than sarcoidosis: Mental Health Awareness Month.
