GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - Eight players from Ole Miss’ 2024 roster heard their names called during the 2025 NFL Draft. The rest of the FBS schools in Mississippi combined for zero. “It’s been an amazing five years,” described head coach Lane Kiffin. “We’ve won a lot of games and I’ve made a lot of great relationships with people there, with people at the university. So many players come in. Some of them just got drafted and moved on to NFL teams. I think it’s close to 20 that signed.

MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Baseball in Mississippi is a brotherhood. No one exemplifies that more than former Ole Miss star Kemp Alderman and top-three Brewers prospect Cooper Pratt. Alderman, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 MLB Draft, grew his passion for the sport with a blue-collar mindset that is unique to the success of many great Mississippi-born athletes. “Being raised in Mississippi taught me to work hard and be grateful for what I have,” Alderman said.
